SOLIDWORKS Visualize

SOLIDWORKS Visualize is not limited to any hardware model; you can use it with a single or multiple GPUs to render images much faster than a CPU, allowing you to produce more content more quickly. By design, SOLIDWORKS Visualize is fast on all types of hardware, including entry-level laptops. It can also use NVIDIA’s latest GPU technology, like the NVIDIA Quadro VCA, to render even faster and more efficiently.

SOLIDWORKS Visualize comes with three raytracing engines so that you can render photorealistic results no matter your device. Including NVIDIA’s Iray technology, AMD’s Radeon ProRender, and Dassault Systemes’ own Stellar Physically Correct engine for high-powered devices. Raytracing utilizes material properties to scatter and reflect light around a scene to ensure your renders are photorealistic.

SOLIDWORKS Visualize supports CAD files in over 25 formats, including SOLIDWORKS native files, IGES, STEP, and OBJ. Visualize can export your image renders to standard image formats such as JPEG, PNG, and BMP, as well as TIFF and PSD for your marketing department. Visualize offers 32-bit color depth rendering into HDR and OpenEXR files for power users.

This Part Splitter lets you easily split out parts, surfaces, and faces so that you can apply a different material or texture to each one. Making changes to materials or textures does not require returning to your original CAD package.

With a single checkbox, you can decipher and eliminate noise from your Visualize renders, dramatically raising your render speed by 10x.

With Decals, it’s easy to add logos, graphics, and more. Decals support all Decal Mapping types from SOLIDWORKS CAD, and now you can choose from multiple mapping modes directly in Visualize for even more flexibility and control.

If your session ends abruptly, you can automatically retrieve saved data the next time you start a session. You can select how often to save auto-recovery data and which folder to save it.

Visualize projects dynamically adapt to high-resolution displays.

To access vault commands and view Visualize file information, use the integrated SOLIDWORKS PDM menu when the file is open in SOLIDWORKS Visualize.

Use SOLIDWORKS Visualize Professional to tell your CAD story. You can easily create photo-quality videos by animating exploded views, flythroughs, part opacity, cameras, and more. Video file types available are MPG, FLV, and MKV.

SOLIDWORKS Visualize Boost is a new add-on product that speeds up rendering and content production. Like a printer queue, it allows users to send jobs to other machines, freeing up their device to keep using Visualize, CAD, or other demanding applications.

These two eye-catching outputs are perfect for adding interactive content to your website or internal presentations. Engage your audience by bringing your CAD files to life. Using Interactive Images, you can turn your model into an interactive experience by automatically stitching still images together viewable from a single HTML file. A panoramic output teleports you inside your CAD data.

With the integrated Render Queue, you will instantly raise productivity by stacking up multiple jobs and allowing them to render when you are away.

With new Area Lights, you can render complex interior scenes faster than ever, with picture-perfect shadows. Area Lights are also supported in Fast mode, which renders up to 8x faster than using traditional lights, and Accurate mode. With this new update, it’s even easier to interactively place your lights, with only a single click needed to place the light exactly where you want it.

To enable Physics, click the “enable” button and watch your items collide and fall just as they would in real life. Users can use the Earthquake tool to randomize or jitter the selected elements, saving time when setting up a scene.

You can import videos or image sequences directly into Visualize, creating animations of products with LED screens. In an exploded animation, for example, the camera can pan across your product, adding interest to the animation.
