So how can you learn how to use this new technology without depleting your bank account?
You can use the same login credentials for the 3DEXPERIENCE platform if you already have access to the SOLIDWORKS Customer Portal. Suppose you do not have login credentials, but you have access to a seat of SOLIDWORKS or another SOLIDWORKS product that is currently on subscription service. In that case, you can use the serial number from that seat to set up login credentials.
Suppose you do not have a seat of SOLIDWORKS that is currently on subscription service. In that case, immediate access to MySolidWorks will not be possible. You will have to purchase access to the platform. Do not worry; it is very inexpensive.
Purchasing Access to The 3DEXPERIENCE Platform

One way to purchase and gain access to the new platform is to go to MySolidWorks and join directly through their link. This route is the most common way to access the platform to see pricing and other benefits in SOLIDWORKS that can work in your favor in a remote environment.
3DEXPERIENCE Edu
There is also another site where you can access very low-cost online training on an entire suite of unique technology directly from 3DEXPERIENCE Edu. 3DEXPERIENCE Edu is an especially great resource for individuals working remotely and looking to up their SOLIDWORKS game.
You will need to set up an account on 3DEXPERIENCE Edu to gain access to the platform, but with the low cost, the training you will gain will pay for itself quickly.
How to Gain Access to MySolidWorks and 3DEXPERIENCE Edu
So how can you get access to one or both training platforms? It is easy, just go to https://www.tpm.com/
So how can you get access to one or both training platforms? Well, that’s pretty simple to do when you partner with an official SOLIDWORKS Reseller like TPM.
With a reseller, you can purchase access to either of these sites and buy various CAD products for manufacturing and Architectural, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) software programs. The easiest way to purchase access to MySolidWorks or the 3DExperience EDU space is to fill out a brief Request a Quote form that allows an account manager to get in touch with you. It’s that simple.
Once you have established your login, you will have access to online training videos that can be watched anywhere, on any device with a web browser connection.
Accessing the Platform After You Establish Credentials
After your purchase, you will need to log into the MySolidWorks platform with your credentials.
After logging in, you can select from a variety of options. You can explore the tabs, then select the Training tab. Under training, there are several options you can choose from options such as Home, Buzz, CAD Models, Training, Forums, Support, and Manufacturers.
There are also handy training navigation items such as Overview, Catalog, My Training, Technical Sessions, and Training Manuals where you can see your learning progress and get help on the platform when needed.
Beginning Your Learning Journey on the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform
Once you’ve explored the platform and understand some of the many menu items available to you, let’s get started on how to begin your learning journey.
Select the “Catalog” tab, the second navigational item on the navigational training bar. When in the Catalog tab, a filter column on the left appears. With this filter column, you can select your Learning Type, Access Level, Product/Role, Version, and even your Language. Utilizing the filter options at your disposal, you can easily access the most relevant content.
If you select Learning Paths and then 3DEXPERIENCE, you will access many 3DEXPERIENCE lessons. You can also sort based on Relevance, Newest, and Oldest.
Just click on the desired path and it will display a list of several videos.
Many people are already leveraging the technology available to them while working remotely to gain a learning advantage. All you need is an iPad or a computer, internet access, and a desire to learn, and you are ready to go. Invest in yourself and never stop learning.
